Half Term Fun for Disabled Children at Hackney Family Backup Party
- During half term - 17th February - Hackney Family Backup hosted
our annual Party with over 100 people attending the event.
- The children enjoyed a fun filled day of music, circus skills,
face painting, arts and crafts and soft play from Albion Kids Show.
With plenty of staff including skilled playworkers on hand to entertain
the children, parents and carers were given the opportunity to relax.
Some parents made the most of much needed relaxation sessions and
delicious hot and cold food was enjoyed by all.
- HFBU strive to offer the best possible services for disabled
children and families and took this opportunity to consult with the
parents and children to find out about their views, experiences and
preferences of play and social opportunities.
- Parents informed us how they really appreciate that, no matter
how challenging their behaviour, the child (ren) are always welcome at
our events and children make friends easier at these events than in most other
settings. Parents themselves form friendships and build their own
support networks at our events.

This is an amazing achievement after months of training. We are very proud of them and very grateful for this huge effort on behalf

They are almost half way to their £10000 fundraising target for Hackney Family Backup.
