Work For Us
Hackney Family Backup (HFBU) provides community based support services to
families who have children with a disability, or a disabling medical condition.
We aim to improve the quality of life for disabled children and their families,
by promoting community support and social inclusion.
Room for one more?
Do you have more time and space now the kids are growing up?
We need fun, friendly and reliable people to look after disabled children and give their families a much-needed break. You could make a real difference as a short break carer.
All you need is a little space, a little time and a big desire to make a genuine difference.
We offer full training and support and a paid allowance that does not affect benefits.
For more details and an informal chat call Chris or Elizabeth at Hackney Family Backup on 0207 275 0088, or email Christine@hfbu.org.uk.

Family Support Volunteers
Are you fun, creative and energetic?
Do you have time to spare at the weekends or after school?
Whilst we are always looking for new volunteers for our Family Support project, we are particularly interested in hearing from people who can offer their time during the week between 4pm and 6pm and during the day at the weekends. This is because many of the children we work with are at school and therefore parents really need support when the children are at home. Perhaps you are a college student or are retired with some time to spare? We'd like to hear from you!
